Rain

Rain, wash away my pain—drown out my cries.
Blanket my sorrows, if only for a moment, in deep slumber’s embrace.
Kiss my skin with tiny droplets from your cascading waterfalls,
And play me a symphony born of clouds and sky.
Let your thunder boom, bold as a bass drum
In the hush of a quiet auditorium.
Let me feel the tremble of your lightning rods,
Close enough to know their power,
But distant enough to watch in awe from my sanctuary.
Be my reminder that even storms hold beauty,
That chaos is but balance in disguise.
I, too, am a storm—wild, fierce, and relentless,
Yet I bring the promise of rainbows in my wake.
I give the sun its many chances to shine,
Make room for its warmth to reclaim the world.
I am rain—the soother, the musician, the bittersweet paradox.
I am both the weight of the tempest and the healing it brings.
